Why We’re Building Konekt With Our Customers

From the start, we’ve believed that the people using Konekt should have a say in what we build next. That sounds simple, but it changes how you build a product.

We’re not trying to disappear for two years, build everything we think a support platform should have, and then come back with a finished product. Konekt is still early, and we want to build it alongside the teams using it every day.

That means listening, learning, testing ideas, changing direction when we need to, and sometimes saying no. Here’s why that matters to us.

Konekt is still early

Konekt is currently not even at version 1.0. We’re deliberately not pretending we have everything figured out.

There are still things we’re learning about how teams use Konekt, where the product needs to improve, and what’s actually worth building next.

We think that’s a good thing.

Being early gives us room to listen closely and make meaningful changes without layers of process getting in the way. Instead of assuming we know exactly what every support team needs, we can learn from the teams already using Konekt and let that experience shape the product.

Every customer uses Konekt differently

There’s no single way to run customer support.

The way one team works with customers isn’t necessarily the way another team does. Different teams have completely different workflows, priorities, and challenges. Those differences are incredibly useful to us.

When you build a product in isolation, you tend to solve the problems you already know about. When real teams use it, they uncover problems you never considered and opportunities you didn’t know were there.

Sometimes that means discovering a missing feature. Sometimes it means realizing that an existing feature could work much better. And sometimes it shows us that the problem isn’t where we thought it was in the first place.

That’s the kind of learning we can’t get from a roadmap document or a list of assumptions.

Feedback influences the roadmap

We want our roadmap to reflect what we’re learning from the teams using Konekt.

That’s why we have a public roadmap and idea board. They give our customers a place to see what we’re working on, share ideas, and understand where the product is heading.

But more importantly, those ideas actually influence what we prioritize.

When we see the same problem coming up across different teams, it tells us there’s something worth looking at. When a request points to a larger problem underneath it, that can lead us somewhere completely different from the original suggestion.

We don’t just collect feedback. We use it to help decide what deserves our attention.

Better for one customer. Better for everyone.

Our goal isn’t to build bespoke software for individual customers.

It’s to find the patterns.

When a problem comes up for one team, we want to understand whether there’s a better way to solve it at the product level. When we find something that makes one workflow simpler, we ask whether it can make Konekt better for everyone.

That’s where building with customers becomes really powerful.

The product gets shaped by real problems, but the solutions become part of a focused core product that can benefit every team using Konekt.

Konekt will keep changing.

Because Konekt is young, the product you use today won’t be exactly the product you use a year from now.

And that’s intentional.

We’ll keep improving the workflows that already work. We’ll rethink things that don’t. We’ll add new capabilities when they solve real problems. And we’ll probably change our minds a few times along the way.

The teams using Konekt today aren’t just customers watching from the sidelines. They’re helping us understand what Konekt should become.

That’s something we value enormously.

Konekt isn’t finished, by design.

We’re building it alongside the teams who use it, one improvement at a time. If something isn’t working, tell us. If something is missing, tell us. If you have an idea that would make Konekt better, we want to hear it.

Because the best customer support platform shouldn’t be built in isolation.
